Objective / Purpose

The objective of the Corporate Marketing Coordinator is to create an efficient workflow between the properties, in-house marketing and 3rd party vendors.  Through organization and communication, the Marketing Coordinator will make sure that the work is flowing between all parties at an efficient, but thorough rate of speed to meet deadlines and quality expectations.

Areas of Responsibility (AOR)

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

Marketing Manager Support

  • Website audits and updates (vanity sites and brand.com): Conduct regular audits of hotel websites, ensuring all information is current, accurate, and aligned with brand standards. Collaborate with property teams and web developers to implement content updates, promotional changes, and seasonal adjustments across both internal (vanity) and brand-managed sites (e.g., Marriott.com).
  • Coordinate the flow of creative projects, including timelines, deliverables, and approvals with marketing managers. 
  • Join regularly scheduled marketing calls with corporate and property-level teams. Take notes, follow up on action items, and contribute updates on current projects, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Maintain digital organization of key marketing documents, including meeting notes, strategy updates, and reports. Share clear and concise summaries of meeting discussions and decisions with relevant stakeholders.
  • Design visually engaging and informative PowerPoint presentations for internal and external use, including business updates, marketing strategies, campaign results, and property overviews.
  • Act as a communication bridge between Corporate Marketing Managers and individual hotel properties. Ensure consistency in messaging, timely updates, and that properties have the tools and resources needed to execute campaigns.
  • Compile data related to marketing efforts, including social media metrics, website analytics, and campaign performance. Assist in preparing summaries and presentations for leadership review.
  • Collaborate with PR team members to coordinate media opportunities, press releases, and property events. Monitor media coverage and assist in reporting PR outcomes.

 

Social Media Support

  • Monitor direct messages on property-managed social media accounts daily, responding to inquiries in a timely, brand-appropriate manner or routing to the appropriate property contact.
  • Assist with property coordination for social media influencers collaborations. Track influencer deliverables.

 

Creative & Brand Support

  • Ensure all finalized creative materials (ads, digital content, brochures, etc.) are archived per the SOP and categorized by property and campaign for easy retrieval.
  • Track advertising schedules, submission deadlines, and specifications for various media buys. Proactively follow up with stakeholders to gather assets and ensure timely delivery to vendors.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, License, Certifications, Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or associate degree in Marketing or Communications – preferred
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in related field – preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in hospitality, hotel, restaurant– preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience with Marriott brand – preferred

 

Work Environment / Conditions

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
