Job Summary

The Corporate Director of Learning and Talent Development is a strategic leader responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide training and talent development initiatives. This role ensures the alignment of learning programs with the company's mission, core values, standards, and goals, focusing on compliance, safety, onboarding, leadership development, and performance management. The Corporate Director of Learning and Talent Development will drive a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence across all properties.

Core Responsibilities 

Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:

 

Learning Program Design and Execution

  • Develop, implement, and manage training programs including onboarding, compliance & safety, leadership development, certifications, and enrichment workshops.
  • Create and deliver Kessler Leadership Series Training.
  • Design tools, multimedia aids, and job aids such as training videos and manuals to support continuous learning.

Leadership and Employee Development

  • Facilitate leadership development programs, orientation sessions, and coaching for supervisors and executives.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and tailor training solutions.
  • Implement competency models and succession planning strategies to prepare future leaders.

Performance Metrics and Budgeting

  • Compile and analyze training data to prepare budgets and justify resources.
  • Track ROI and the impact of learning programs on employee performance and engagement.

Strategic Partnership and Vendor Management

  • Research, select, and manage external consultants and trainers to enhance training content.
  • Establish partnerships with educational institutions for internship and career development programs.

Employee Engagement and Communication

  • Design and lead employee engagement surveys to guide organizational development.
  • Develop and implement effective communication tools to inform employees about training programs and policies.

Administration

  • Learning Management System (LMS) Administration
  • Performance Management System (PMS) Administration

All other duties assigned.

  • Excellent computer skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in tactics and training disciplines.
  • Must have current knowledge on all laws, regulations and industry best practices pertaining to their area of responsibility including familiarity with OSHA, PCI, and other regulatory training requirements.
  • Ability to compile and deliver written or verbal training tools.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in content creation, maintenance of training processes, and the successful development of ongoing training and development programs.
  • Ability to successfully troubleshoot and resolve problems and questions professionally.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervisory and leadership responsibilities include achieving results through providing direction and accountability of the following Grand Performers within the culture and policies established by the Kessler Collection. 

  • Corporate Talent Development Manager

Minimum Qualifications

Education, License, Certifications, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related training equivalent - required
  • 5+ years proven track record of strategic leadership in learning and talent development– required
  • Experience within luxury brand/markets – required
  • Expertise in training program development, compliance training, and learning technologies – required
  • Experience with leadership development, succession planning, and competency modeling – required
  • Certified Facilitator in Franklin Covey or equivalent leadership programs – preferred
  • Experience with the Kirkpatrick Model for evaluating learning effectiveness – preferred
  • Proficiency in HR technologies such as UKG Pro – preferred

Work Environment

The work environment/conditions described herein are representative of those that an incumbent may experience.

  • Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, without the use of a private office.
  • Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadlines with a high degree of optimism, professionalism & collaboration.
  • Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.
  • This position requires travel up to 30% of the time. Specific details outlined by direct supervisor.

  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50lbs on a weekly basis.
